HFC blend Safety Class A1
A blend of HFC 32 with HFC 125. This blend is non-significant in ODP, and it can be used as an alternative to R-22. It is a blend with good thermodynamic properties, compared to R-22, but because of its higher pressure, it can be used only in systems designed specifically. Internationally, it is the preferred solution for all new heat pumps and air conditioners. Its high capacity refrigerant can provide up to a 50% increase in cooling power over R-22. This allows for smaller components to be used and more compact machines to be created compared to R-22. Copper pipes, accessories, valves and compressors must be designed for the increased pressure. Working pressures make it unsuitable for converting R-22 devices that are already in operation.
